Members who were unable to attend the meeting, should either phone the organiser of the activity well ahead of the date of the activity and book your place.

Those people who have mobile phones, please use that number when putting their name on the Activity Sheet.

 

That way the organiser is able to contact you much easier if the activity changes or you get separated from the group, while on the activity.

Catching Trains

 When we use the train services for an outing we always try to sit upstairs in the second last carriage. 

 

Those getting on at early stations should attempt to save seats for those getting on later.

Gina will again provide various curry meals to enjoy for dinner. Then on full stomachs we will have joke telling time, everybody is to bring along at least 5 jokes (on paper is OK) to read out over the night. We are open to suggestive jokes, Remember laughter is the worlds best medicine.

Join us this Sunday for the Bush  Dance at Heininger Hall, Heininger Street, Dapto.

It starts at 1.00pm with a lesson and then the dancing runs  from 2.00pm until 4.00pm. Live music by Southern Cross.

Cost is $5 which includes afernoon tea .

Card Night at Figtree Hall

  Join us for a fun night of cards & games at the Bridge Club Hall, 11 Princes Highway, Figtree. Approach can be from either north or south. Turn into the park on the north side of Figtree shopping centre carpark.

 

Doors open at 6.30pm for 6.45pm start (don't be late!)

 

Cost is $4.00 per person. Please bring a small plate of nibbles to share for supper. No hot food as there are no heating facilities.

Indoor Bowls at Warilla

Come and join us at Warilla Bowling Club for a fun 2 hours of bowling.

 

Meet in the foyer at 12 noon for lunch and a 1.30pm play bowls. Cost is $8 for bowls and green hire.

 

Socks or bowling shoes must be worn on the green. After the game stay and have a coffee or cool drink with friends.

Drag Queen Bingo at the Illawarra Yacht Club

Get ready for a night of glitz, glamour, and trivia madness with the fabulous Drag Queen Fairah Nuff!

This isn't your typical session, she will have you in stitches, wanting more!

It’s 2 hours of fun, giggles, big laughs and the chance to win the major $1000 jackpot for only $10

Strictly 18+.

Sessions alternate between trivia and bingo

Catch the bus with a senior’s ticket to Burrawang in the Southern Highlands and enjoy lunch at the hotel. Bus leaves Wollongong Railway Station eastern side at 11.30am,

Dapto RS at 11.45am, Albion Park RS at 12.00am. Arrive at Burrawang at 12.45pm. Leave Burrawang at 2.41pm and arrive in Wollongong at 4.00pm.

Morning Melodies at Fraternity Club

Purchase your own tickets.

Enjoy a pleasant morning at the Fraternity’s Morning Melodies show. Be entertained by Christine Tyrell , this is followed by a roast lunch. Cost: $25. Doors open at 10.30 am, show time 11.00 am. After the show join other members for coffee and cake in the Il Bene dining area (own costs).

Winfale Park by Dell Brand being Performed

Come along to the CWA Hall, 15 The Drive, Stanwell Park where excerpts from 3 plays by 3 local playwrights will be presented,One of those "Winfale Park"is byour own IOC member Dell Brand.

Walk and Lunch with Bruce

Join Bruce for a leisurely walk from his home along the edge of Lake Illawarra towards Windang Bridge and look at all the improvements that the Council have done to the lake foreshore.

We will then return to Bruce & Gina’s home. We will supply a Sausage Sizzle lunch, tea & coffee. Bring you own alcohol drinks if you wish.

Start time 10am.     Cost $3.

Meet at 9.00am at Albion Park RS for Car Pooling. (Passengers to pay for fuel). Bring your lunch and walking shoes. We will have Morning Tea at Robertson café.

The walks to see our magnificent waterfalls (Carrington Falls, Belmore Falls and Fitzroy Falls and Hindmarsh Falls are short, level,  and easy.   Look Out over upper Kangaroo Valley. Also see the rare Robertson Brush (rainforest).

2025 IOC Weekend Away

This is a totally different location and method of managing the booking to past years. It will be booked as follows.

a) You will have to decide who you wish to share with.

b) You will have to decide on the type of cabin you wish to share.. All details are on the web.

c) One of your group will have to contact the park and make your booking and pay your deposit and arrange final payment.

 

The park has not opened the February bookings as yet but will take our bookings now.  Please don't delay and mention IOC booking. A 10% discount applies if you book soon

If you delay your booking the choice of cabins will be less.

Tennis is on most Fridays at Wiseman Park courts in Vickery Street, Gwynnville for about an hour from 5ish. Some of us usually have dinner at the Wiseman Park Bowling Club afterwards. New players and beginners through to more experienced players are welcome.

BUSH DANCE at HEININGER HALL (Ist & 3rd Sunday of the month
